SCIENTIFIC ASSETS
0.01% Decapeptide-12
This innovative biomimetic peptide blocks the tyrosinase enzyme, responsible for melanin synthesis. The result: reduced dark spots and a visibly more even complexion.
1% Glutathione
An antioxidant naturally present in the skin, it neutralizes free radicals, regulates melanin and promotes the appearance of pheomelanin (lighter skin tone).
1% Dioic acid
A gentle yet effective alternative to hydroquinone, this acid reduces tyrosinase and inflammation levels, improving the overall appearance of pigmentation spots.
1% Phenylethylresorcinol
Renowned for its rapid action on luminosity, it boosts skin regeneration while reducing pigmentation.
0.5% Glycyrrhizin root extract
Derived from licorice, it soothes skin inflammation, protects against environmental aggressors and boosts skin tolerance.
1% Hyaluronic acid
Intensely moisturizes all skin layers, for immediate plumping action and a reinforced skin barrier.
PROTOCOL
PROTOCOL
Advice from Dr Nicolas B.
- For a more radiant complexion: LUMIXDERM Brightening Cream alone is enough to even out and revive the complexion's luminosity.
- For mild to moderate hyperpigmentation (brown spots, melasma, lentigo, pregnancy or pigmentation masks): combine the TXA 5% Anti-Spot Concentrate with LUMIXDERM Lightening Cream. For even greater effectiveness, add 3 drops of the concentrate directly into your cream, morning and night.
- For severe hyperpigmentation and/or acne marks: we recommend a complete three-step protocol:
Advanced Peel (1 to 2 times a week in the evening) → TXA 5% Anti-Spot Concentrate → LUMIXDERM Lightening Cream. This ritual optimizes the penetration of active ingredients and accelerates results.

OUR ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS
-
A peptide is a chain of amino acids, just like a protein, but shorter. It is of natural, non-chemical origin, and derives its potency from naturally occurring amino acids.
-
Peptides can come in different sizes, and larger peptides do indeed have more difficulty penetrating the skin than smaller ones. Lumixderm's peptide size is small enough to passively penetrate the skin. This penetration is further facilitated by potentiating agents present in the formula.
-
Most botanical lightening agents need to be used in high concentrations to achieve results comparable to those contained in Lumixderm. As a result, these agents can cause significant irritation, leading to redness and increased sensitivity to the sun. Lumixderm's peptide has been shown to be non-irritating, non-allergenic, and does not increase sensitivity to UV rays, while being effective at low concentrations (0.01%).

Clinical data indicate that it takes an average of 6 to 8 weeks for patients with a Fitzpatrick I or II phototype to see a visible improvement in their skin pigmentation. For patients with Fitzpatrick phototype III or higher, visible results generally appear between 16 and 24 weeks when Lumixderm cream is used as monotherapy. However, it's important to note that patient perception of satisfaction is multifactorial and can vary according to the initial degree of hyperpigmentation, phototype, genetic factors, individual metabolism and age...
